Civil Defence is about...
Knowing what to do during civil emergencies
We must familiarise ourselves with emergency arrangements like relief services
and supply of critical items like blood, water and food. This is so that life
can go on as normally as possible should war or emergencies take place.
Preparing civilians to deal with emergencies
The Singapore Civil Defence Force helps to prepare Singaporeans to deal with
emergencies. It trains civilians in rescue work, evacuation and first aid, so
that more will have the skills to save life and property when the need arises.
In times of war, our soldiers will be able to fight better when they are
assured that their loved ones are cared for at home. This helps to strengthen
Military Defence.
